No one in my family has ALL the latest technological gadgets, but we have enough gadgets to keep us all connected. Of course, the learning curve for some family members has been longer than others, but eventually everyone got it. All the gadgets have one thing in common – they rely on having great Internet access.

What is FiOS?

Verizon FiOS operates over a fiber-optic communications network and bundles Internet access, telephone, and television service at the fastest speeds.

How Does Verizon FiOS Connect My Family With Technology And Gadgets

My family enjoys gadgets that require a dependable and consistent Internet service. Some of the most beloved gadgets include television, desktop computers, laptops and smartphones that are used to:

  • watch movies together on Netflix
  • download music from Pandora
  • play video games online
  • upload videos on YouTube of family events
  • connect with friends and family via Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and blogs
  • text messages, photos and videos
  • use Skype, Tango and FaceTime for live chats

Without dependable and consistent Internet service, none of the above technological connections would be possible! Verizon FiOS keeps all our gadgets connected to the Internet so that we are able to stay in touch with family that lives both close and far away.

So what happens when you don’t have great Internet service? Watch this cute video called ‘Twas The Night Before Stanley to see what can happen if you rely on the wrong tools to keep your family in touch with the world and each other.

Getting Personal With Technology

My daughter got her first cell phone when she started elementary school so that I was only a phone call away. It brought both of us comfort especially since we had moved to a new state half way across the country and everything was unfamiliar. The texts we sent each other throughout the day kept us connected, comforted and helped Alyssa to feel more secure.

Although my aunt lives in Virginia, she lives several hours away so we can’t visit each other all the time. However, does distance keep family apart? No! Skype provides the means to see each other with just the touch of a few buttons!

Of course, everyone logs onto Facebook and email each day. We send each other all kinds of information ranging from party invitations, humorous stories, directions, interesting links and the latest family updates.

All of the great gadgets would be useless without reliable service. Verizon has been our choice for many years because it not only has consistent service, but also because the service can’t be beat!
