Si Chan’s Coat Says Hug Me

by Sherry Riter in Art

One of the things I didn’t accomplish while on vacation was finding a winter coat. Actually, I totally forgot to even look for a coat because it wasn’t that cold whenever I was outside. This morning, however, it was quite brisk walking into the office and that’s when I remembered I need a new coat.

While searching online after I got home, I think I might have found the perfect coat! It solves the warmth requirement and it will ensure that I get my seven hugs a day!

Si Chan says this about his 2012-2013 men’s collection which put an emphasis on hands:

Some keywords have become the main points of my collection. “Hugs”, “Communication”, “Interesting”, “Fun”, “flourishing”, “a bit implication of sex”, “comfort”, “to be protected”, “to be surrounded”, ‘to cherish” “warmth”, “memory”, “happiness”, “childhood”, “lifetime”, ”Let go”, etc. Interaction and communication are the action to express love and depart from loneliness between human beings. ‘Hands” is the key point of the collection as very figurative object to express this abstract idea. Moreover, this small collection is developed like a short story of life. The 6 outfits represent their own story and meaning respectively.

I love the pink backpack, because I’m a backpack sort of “girl” and a little touch of something “wild” is perfect. A long scarf that has 2-4 hands on it would be very funky and I would most definitely wear something like that made of a cushy, toasty fabric to keep warm on a morning like today, when the thermometer reads 7.

Here’s one of your 7 hugs…make that two.

That’s an excellent idea and would make a great gift! Maybe I should make one and have a giveaway. Hmmm…sounds like a good idea.

Your thermometer says 7???!!!!! Holy moly! That’s cold girl!

Thank you for the hugs!!!! {{{hugggin’ ya back}}}

Hi. You could make a 2-4 handed scarf? Wow! That would be for lack of a better term, “awesome”. Oh and today we’re having a heatwave. It’s a very comfortable 30.

Sending one big hug!

Oh yeah! I could make it easily. I’m also a seamstress. Here’s one of Alyssa’s prom dresses that I sewed for her. It fit her like a glove and I made it out of bridal satin. I love the black satin roses!!! —>>click here for Alyssa’s dress

Well, 30 is definitely a heatwave in comparison to 7!!!! LOL

Sending {{{{ONE BIG HUGGGGGG}}}} back!
