A Tiny Home In A Big Landscape

The structures are very tiny when compared to most homes and extremely small in comparison to the expansive landscape where the tiny homes have been built. While researching different types of homes while trying to find all the features and functions I want to incorporate into my next home, I have found that I do not have any problem with honing in on small architecture even though my dreams are big.

I am leaning towards a home that is basically one large room like The Small House in Barrington, Massachusetts which was designed by Maryann Thompson Architects. It is light, bright, airy and doesn't appear cramped at all.

The ceiling is high and that makes the room look and feel even larger.

Obviously the kitchen does not lack in cabinet space.

By the time I finished looking at The Small House in Barrington, Massachusetts, my mind wandered off into the "where" will I build a home and "what" will my life be like after it is completed.

Of course, I was drawn back to the Tiny House Blog for photos of tiny homes in the landscape.

While viewing the photos, my mind began to take a leisurely stroll on my path of dreams.

I will sit by the window in my home writing each day.

Then I will take my time cooking glorious meals, hopefully for two people.

Where is the perfect location for my tiny dream home?

Maybe the home will be at the edge of a lake in the shadow of a large mountain...

Nestled at the edge of the forest with a mountain as a beautiful backdrop...

Tucked away and hidden in the forest like little fairies...

Surrounded by a full forest on all sides...

(breathing deeply)

Can you smell the crisp air with the smell of fresh burning wood in the fireplace?

I have to have a fireplace with big logs of crackling wood burning.

Crunch squeak is the only noise I can hear as I walk in the snow with my boots.

There would be days that my tiny home would bask in the sunlight...

While many months it would be deep in the forest surrounded and covered with snow...

When it snowed a whole bunch, I would stay in my home except when I was playing with snowballs.

I want lots of snow....lots and lots of snow and....

a little home to keep me warm.

There would be so much peace while surrounded by such beautiful scenery.

My dreams are simple.

A little home on a little piece of land...

Lots of snow that would glisten like diamonds in the sun...

Time to write...

Many meals cooked without hurrying...

Peace.

Love.

In my dreams it all seems so easy.

(courage is waning)

Surely this dream can come to fruition.

When the world says, "Give up,"
Hope whispers, "Try it one more time."
